In "Down to Earth," Rita Hayworth stars as Terpsichore, one of the Nine Muses of Olympus, who descends to Earth to ensure a Broadway musical accurately portrays Greek mythology. With the help of Eddie (Marc Platt) and Max Corkle (James Gleason), she alters the play from a farce to a high-minded ballet, winning over Danny Miller's (Larry Parks) admiration in the process. As her time on Earth comes to an end, Kitty Pendleton (Hayworth) must choose between saving Danny and preserving her sisters' reputation.
