In 1933 during the Great Depression, a young orphan named Annie is living in the Hudson Street Orphanage in New York City. She is taken in by America's richest billionaire, Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks, who lets her stay at his mansion to improve his public image. Annie charms everyone, including hard-hearted industrialist Warbucks, and he decides to help her find her long lost parents by offering a reward. As Annie searches for her family, she faces many frauds, but ultimately finds true love with Warbucks and adopts a new locket that holds the key to her past.
