A dramatised life of Samuel Langhorn Clemens, or Mark Twain, is brought to the screen in this 1944 American biographical film starring Fredric March as the iconic author and Alexis Smith as his wife Olivia. The film weaves together elements of Twain's most famous stories, transporting viewers back to a small town in Missouri where Twain grew up, became a steamboat pilot, and eventually became a renowned writer and lecturer.
