At Port Chester University, nervous high school senior Tom Lawrence visits and gets caught up in a war between rival groups, including "The Pit" fraternity, led by wild man Droz (Jeremy Piven), and the preppy Balls and Shaft, with Rand McPherson (David Spade) at its helm. The Pit, known for their party-centric lifestyle and rebellion against political correctness, finds itself threatened with expulsion when President Garcia-Thompson proposes radical changes to the campus, including a new mascot and increased sensitivity awareness. In response, The Pit organizes a fundraising party that ultimately brings together students from rival groups, leading to an impromptu protest and a turning point in the conflict.
