In a fishing village where educating girls is considered taboo, 12-year-old Ekah (Faith Fidel) learns to read and write inspired by Malala Yousafzai's story, despite her widower father Solomon's (Kang Quintus) opposition. With the help of new teacher Teacher Bibih (Ndamo Damarise), Ekah's determination challenges village traditions, leading Solomon to confront his past and ultimately approve his daughter's decision to attend school. The film premiered at the 2020 I Will Tell International Film Festival and was selected as Cameroon's entry for Best International Feature Film at the 93rd Academy Awards.
