Mads Mikkelsen stars as Markus Hansen, a soldier returning home to care for his daughter after his wife's tragic death in a train accident. When a survivor surfaces claiming foul play, Markus suspects his wife was murdered and embarks on a mission to find those responsible with the help of Otto (Nikolaj Lie Kaas), Lennart (Lars Brygmann), and Emmenthaler (Nicolas Bro). As they delve deeper into the mystery, Mathilde (Andrea Heick Gadeberg) struggles to cope with her loss, while Markus's own trauma threatens to consume him.
