Phyllis Calvert stars as Laura Hammond, a genteel British housewife who finds time to write a film script amidst her chaotic home life, which eventually catches the attention of a Hollywood producer, leading her to choose between fame and family. The 1956 comedy film was written by Edward Dryhurst based on the 1952 play of the same name by Felicity Douglas, and also stars Patrick Barr as Laura's husband Charles Hammond and Guy Rolfe as Stephen Hodgson.
