A Japanese dramedy film directed by Hitoshi Matsumoto, "R100" tells the story of Takafumi Katayama, an ordinary furniture salesman who enters a year-long, non-cancellable contract with a secret bondage club. There, he faces off against ruthless dominatrices in various public settings, entering a trance-like euphoric state amidst humiliation and terror. Between these encounters, Takafumi struggles to care for his young son Arashi while his wife Setsuko lies comatose, as the club's president threatens to put his family in danger unless he quits. Ultimately, Takafumi takes drastic action against the dominatrices, leading to a darkly comedic and surreal conclusion that defies easy interpretation. 🎬 Enhanced by REEL
