In the nine months leading up to World War II, 10,000 innocent children were forced to leave behind everything they knew – their families, homes, and childhoods – in a desperate bid for survival. Transported via train, boat, and plane to Great Britain, these young refugees, known as Kinder, were taken into foster care or hostels, with the hope of being reunited with their parents one day. Yet, for many, this reunion never came.
