Jean Dujardin stars as Richard Malinowski, a police captain whose young daughter is raped and murdered. After his colleagues convict Daniel Eckmann (Laurent Lucas) of the crime despite lack of evidence, Richard begins to investigate on his own, uncovering clues that point to Salinas, a known serial killer of children.
