American soldiers led by Sergeant Patrick Stone (Tim Thomerson) are lost behind enemy lines in Italy during World War II. They discover a crashed alien spaceship and its passenger, one of whom is on the loose after being captured by Nazis, who also investigate the crash for technology to gain an advantage. The GIs hunt down the alien, tracking it while also being pursued by both Nazi forces and other hostile aliens sent to save their stranded party.
