Two closeted Muslim teens, Naz and Maalik, spend a hot summer day hustling lottery tickets and navigating their secretive romantic relationship in Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood. Their carefree afternoon darkens when they unwittingly catch the attention of an FBI operative, who mistakenly suspects them of being radicalized Muslims due to their erratic behavior. As tensions rise, Naz and Maalik must panick about being uncovered by their families and confront the blurred lines between their identities as young gay men and devout Muslims in post-9/11 New York City.
