Clark Gable stars as Jim Lane, a daredevil test pilot whose reckless behavior puts his life and the lives of those around him at risk. His wife Ann and best friend Gunner try to keep him grounded, but Jim's love for the thrill of flight ultimately leads to a crash that kills his friend. As Jim grapples with the consequences of his actions, he must also confront the toll his job is taking on his marriage and decide whether to continue down the dangerous path or find a new way forward.
