Mark Dacascos stars as Louis Stevens, a former Green Beret who returns to his hometown of Miami and uses his capoeira skills to kick gang members off school property. He is tasked by old teacher Kerrigan (Geoffrey Lewis) to teach capoeira to at-risk students, earning the ire of local drug lord Silverio Oliveiras (Paco Christian Prieto), a master of capoeira who challenges Stevens in combat. After one of his students, Donovan, dies in an attack by Silverio's gang, Stevens is accused and banished from the school, but he eventually defeats Silverio in a single combat to win back his students and restore order to the community.
