In 2019 Los Angeles, former police officer Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) is recalled to hunt down four advanced replicants, led by Roy Batty (Rutger Hauer), who have escaped to Earth seeking a way to extend their short life spans. The film follows Deckard as he navigates a complex web of identity and humanity, encountering the enigmatic Rachael (Sean Young), who may be a replicant herself, in his quest to retire the rogue androids.
