Set in 1987, Carla's Song tells the story of love and redemption in the midst of war. A Scottish bus driver, George Lennox, rescues a traumatized Nicaraguan refugee, Carla, from Glasgow and takes her on a perilous journey to find out what happened to her family and boyfriend, Antonio, who was taken by the Contras during the U.S.-sponsored insurgency in Nicaragua.
