Marshal John Breaker (Neal McDonough) and Deputy Bugle Bearclaw team up to deliver a dangerous criminal, Henry Bronson, across the country. However, their mission takes an unexpected turn when they discover that Bronson is the estranged brother of notorious outlaw Yule Bronson, played by Dermot Mulroney. As they navigate this complex situation, Breaker's family connections are also drawn into the affair, threatening the safety of a small town called Absolem's Hill, now under attack from Yule's gang.
