Shotgun Stories is a 2007 American independent Southern Gothic revenge drama film that tracks a feud between two sets of half brothers following the death of their shared biological father. Set against the cotton fields and back roads of Southeast Arkansas, these brothers discover the lengths to which each will go to protect their family. Michael Shannon stars as Son Hayes, a working-class fish farmer leading the first set of brothers, while Michael Abbott Jr. plays Cleaman Hayes, the middle-class leader of the second set.
