In this animated adventure, two elderly sea turtles, Sammy and Ray, must use their wits to escape an underwater aquarium and reunite with their grandkids after being captured on a trawler net. With the help of a squill expert's plan, they outsmart the villainous Big D and a barracuda, ultimately escaping to freedom along with their fellow tank inhabitants. Along the way, their grandchildren Ella and Ricky join forces to rescue them, navigating obstacles and communicating challenges in their quest for reunion.
