The documentary film "I Am Trying to Break Your Heart" (2002) chronicles the American alt-country rock band Wilco's creation and distribution of their fourth studio album Yankee Hotel Foxtrot through the eyes of photographer Sam Jones. With Jeff Tweedy, John Stirratt, Leroy Bach, Glenn Kotche, and Jay Bennett all playing themselves, the film captures not only the band's creative process but also personal tensions between band members, particularly between Tweedy and Bennett, as well as conflicts with record label Reprise, a division of Warner Music Group.
