In 1942, during World War II, Jim (Khan Chittenden), a Royal Australian Air Force fighter pilot, awakens suspended in the treetops after being shot down. He must navigate through treacherous jungle terrain to find sanctuary as night falls, pursued by Imperial Japanese forces. Along the way, he forms an unlikely alliance with Chinese guerrilla fighter Seng (Mo Tzu-yi), who helps him evade capture and aid each other in reaching friendly territory, despite not speaking the same language.
