In this 1986 made-for-television comedy fantasy horror film, a young American couple inherits an English castle, only to find that it is haunted by the spirit of a disgraced ancestor, doomed to stay on the estate because of his cowardice. The only way he can escape is if one of his descendants performs a heroic act, which the husband intends to get his daughter to do. As Jennifer, the young daughter, befriends the ghost and helps him break free from his curse, she discovers that Sir Simon's story is rooted in tragedy and betrayal, adding depth to this lighthearted tale of family and friendship.
