In 1911 Mexico, gringo miner Irish Gallagher joins Mexican revolutionaries after his mine is seized by corrupt administrator Colonel Ruiz, who kills his partner Marco. Irish rescues guerilla leader Raquel Noriega from certain death and becomes romantically involved with her in a series of daring rescues and ambushes. As they navigate the treacherous landscape, Raquel's sister Elena mistakenly trusts the villainous Ruiz, leading to tragic consequences, before Irish ultimately saves the day, blowing up his own mine and avenging Tomas' mother's death, as he confesses there is something he loves more than gold - Raquel.
