A housewife, Lara (Savina Geršak), who has left her cop husband Lawson (Michael Dudikoff) after a heated argument, picks up Justin McKay (Mark Hamill), who turns out to be a deeply troubled and psychopathic killer. As they journey together, Justin's dark past is revealed, including his traumatic childhood and subsequent murder of his sister. Lawson eventually thwarts Justin's killing spree at the hospital, but not before Lara is subjected to electric shocks by Justin's doctor, Dr. Hardy (Robert Mitchum). In the end, Lawson forgives Lara and shoots Justin in the head, killing him once and for all.
