In the Sahara desert, a sandstorm batters a deserted drilling station, and security patrolman Jack battles through high winds to investigate why all contact with the site has been lost. He soon discovers that the research team, led by Professor Borman, had accidentally released something malevolent while drilling deeper into the earth's crust, causing their crew to turn on each other in paranoia-driven hallucinations and violence. As Jack delves deeper into the mystery, he must confront his own demons and question the true nature of those around him, including Dr. Jenny Christensen, who may not be what she seems.
