Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays Dashrath Manjhi, a poor laborer who carves a 360-foot-long path through a hill using only a hammer and chisel after his wife's tragic death trying to cross the mountain. Over 22 years, he faces severe hardships and confronts corruption, but eventually succeeds in reducing the travel distance between Gehlaur and Wazirganj from 55 kilometers to just 15 kilometers.
