Girl from the North Country tells the story of Nick Laine (Colin Bates), who struggles to keep his guesthouse afloat in 1934 Duluth, Minnesota, amidst financial ruin and personal hardship. His wife Elizabeth battles dementia, while their adopted daughter Marianne harbours a secret pregnancy. A diverse group of drifters find refuge at the guesthouse, each grappling with their own challenges.
