Suburban teenager Billy 5000 lives in Florida, where he sometimes hangs out with his kid brother Peanut and friends Freckles and Beatbox at the beach. One Christmas break, they spot a strange creature that leads to Billy's discovery of a glitching food delivery app, which he uses to try and earn $5,000 before the new year so he can move out of his older sister Gail's home. Along the way, he encounters various eccentric characters, including a mysterious customer who turns out to be an intergalactic food vlogger reviewing local restaurants. Billy eventually accepts an offer from Glarba, an alien creature with powers to grow better fruits, and starts a family with her children in a cave deep underground.
