A group of six young children from a rural British village enjoy playing on a nearby farm, pretending to be "Apache warriors." Narrated by Robbie Oubridge as Danny, who continues his narration after his own death, the film follows their misadventures and tragic accidents that occur due to their carelessness. The children's reckless behavior leads to various deaths, including Kim being run over by a tractor, Tom drowning in a slurry pit, Sharon dying from accidentally drinking chemicals, Robert being crushed by a falling gate, and Danny crashing a tractor into a ditch.
