Inspector Pawan Malik (Saif Ali Khan) is a police inspector in Jhamli who must decide how far he'll go to uphold his duty as menacing threats close in on his family's safety. He's tasked with protecting a journalist and his own brother Deepak, who eloped with a woman from a different caste, while also investigating a 16-year-old boy Harpal who was told to carry out the shooting. The film follows Pawan's journey as he navigates the dark thriller landscape to keep Harpal and Deepak/Preeti safe.
