In a dark and twisted reimagining of Carlo Collodi's classic tale, Pinocchio Unstrung follows Geppetto's grandson James as he befriends a sentient wooden puppet named Pinocchio, who is determined to become a real boy at any cost. As James learns that Pinocchio's naivety has led him on a violent crusade to eliminate all things bad, the line between friendship and bloodlust becomes increasingly blurred. With the help of Geppetto, who introduces James to Pinocchio in an attempt to build a friend who will never abandon him, they soon find themselves caught up in a web of murder, deception, and terror.
