In 1980s Turkey, a small town prepares for a big military parade, where a group of local musicians are hired to perform. Gülendam, the daughter of Abuzer Yayladalı, must hide her left-wing activist boyfriend Haydar's record of The International, which sparks a comedy of errors that leads to a tragic outcome. As Abuzer and his band are arrested for performing the anti-military song, Gülendam and her friends become more aware of the political issues. The film follows the story of these characters and their struggles with the military regime.
