Charles Lamy
Biography
Charles Lamy, born Charles Castarède on August 28, 1857, was a French actor born into a theatrical family. He began his stage career in 1874 at the Grand-Théâtre in Saint-Etienne, later making his Paris debut at the Théâtre des Bouffes-Parisiens as Prince Fritellini in La Mascotte. He went on to create notable roles in comic operas and at various Parisian theaters, including the Théâtre de la Renaissance and Théâtre-Lyrique.
