Klaus Voormann is a German artist and musician born on April 29, 1938. As the bassist for Manfred Mann from 1966 to 1969, he performed as a session musician on notable recordings like Carly Simon's "You're So Vain" and Lou Reed's Transformer album. A key contributor to the Beatles' Revolver album, Voormann designed its cover and worked with the band members on solo projects, including George Harrison's and Ringo Starr's albums.
