Anita Colby

Biography

Anita Colby was a model and actress born Anita Counihan in Washington, D.C., daughter of renowned cartoonist Bud Counihan. She became a high-paid model at $50 an hour, known as "The Face," before transitioning to acting in Hollywood, where she had bit parts in films like Mary of Scotland (1936) and Brute Force (1947). Colby later worked with David O. Selznick, teaching contract actresses about beauty and publicity, and became a successful business consultant.
