A former member of the renowned theater troupe Mokhwa, he debuted in Jang Jin's 1998 black comedy The Happenings and has since become known for his versatile supporting roles in films like Three... Extremes and Le Grand Chef. He gained iconic status with his breakout role as Dachimawa Lee, a character he reprised in a 2008 feature film directed by Ryoo Seung-wan.
