Rene Medvešek is a Croatian actor and director born on June 21, 1963, in Velika Gorica. He gained international recognition for his role as Serbian terrorist Vlado Mirich in the 1997 action film The Peacemaker. In 1990, he served as a stand-in presenter for Oliver Mlakar during the Eurovision Song Contest in Zagreb, briefly filling in after Mlakar quit over age-related comments.
