Dominique Dunne

Biography

Dominique Dunne was an American actress who began her career with television film appearances and recurring roles in Family and Breaking Away. Her breakthrough role came as Dana Freeling in the horror classic Poltergeist (1982), followed by starring turns in Westerns The Shadow Riders and CHiPs. Tragically, her life ended on November 4, 1982, at age 22, when she was strangled by her ex-boyfriend during an argument.
