Jane Wodening

Biography

Jane Wodening is an American writer and artist, best known for her work as Stan Brakhage's first wife. She co-created the experimental short film "Window Water Baby Moving" (1959) with their newborn child as its subject. Wodening also created scrapbooks for the Brakhage family during Stan's prolific period of filmmaking in the late 1950s to mid-1960s. These works have been recognized as significant contributions to American experimental art.
