Biography

Lina Romay was a Spanish actress and filmmaker born in Barcelona in 1954. She began acting in Jesús Franco's films after meeting him in 1972, adopting the stage name Lina Romay from a jazz artist of the 1940s era. Known for her roles in horror films such as The Bare Breasted Countess (1973) and Barbed Wire Dolls (1975), she appeared in over 100 Franco films between 1973 and 2010. She died of cancer in 2012, aged 57.
