Sofia Essaïdi is a French-Moroccan singer and actress born on August 6, 1984, in Casablanca to Moroccan father Lhabib Essaïdi and French mother Martine Adeline Gardelle. She rose to fame after participating in the third season of Star Academy France, finishing second to Elodie Frégé, and later starred in the musical Cléopâtre, la dernière reine d'Égypte.
