Biography

Vikram Gandhi, a New York-born Indian American, grew up in a Hindu household in New Jersey. After graduating from Columbia University, he worked as a freelance video journalist and documentary filmmaker, covering topics such as the yoga industry in the US. Inspired by his skepticism about religious movements, Gandhi created a fake spiritual movement called "Kumare," which led to the 2011 film "Kumaré."
