Biography

Jimmy Ray Dean was a country music singer, songwriter, and television host who rose to fame in the late 1950s and early 1960s. He became a national personality with his 1961 hit "Big Bad John" and later starred in the James Bond film Diamonds Are Forever as billionaire Willard Whyte. Dean also launched a successful sausage brand, whose likeness and voice continue to be used in advertisements today.
