She has received two Jussi Awards for her performances in the 2008 Heikki Kujanpää film Putoavia enkeleitä and the 2011 Zaida Bergroth film Hyvä poika. A professor of acting at the Helsinki Theatre Academy, she is married to actor Tommi Korpela and has a son with him.
