Biography

Musidora was a French actress, film director, and writer who rose to international fame for her roles in Louis Feuillade's serials Les Vampires as Irma Vep and Judex as Marie Verdier. She was one of the earliest "vamps" in cinema and later became a cultural icon for surrealist writers and filmmakers. Musidora also made history as an early female filmmaker, screenwriter, and producer, writing her first novel at age 15.
