Sandra Dorne was a British actress born Joan Smith on June 19, 1924, known for her striking presence and husky voice. She began her career as a blonde bombshell in the late 1940s and 1950s, starring in mystery and suspense films before transitioning to television roles in series such as Z-Cars and The Avengers. A longtime collaborator with actor Patrick Holt, she tragically passed away on December 25, 1992, at Paddington Community Hospital.
