Carita Järvinen was a Finnish-born French fashion model and actress born on May 20, 1938. She rose to fame in the 1960s, modeling for top designers like Coco Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent, and made her film debut in 1962 with a role in the French Lemmy Caution film Lemmy pour les dames. She had a notable role in the 1967 Hammer film The Viking Queen, playing Queen Salina.
