Betty Lawford

Biography

Betty Lawford was a United States-based English film and stage actress born in London on February 1, 1912. Her stage debut came in a Players' Club production of Henry IV in 1926, followed by notable roles in Julius Caesar, The Women, and Glamour Preferred. She married twice, first to American actor-director Monta Bell and then to advertising executive Barry Buchanan, before passing away at Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan on November 20, 1960.
