Biography

Lydia Echevarría was born on October 14, 1931 in Caguas, Puerto Rico. A prominent actress in the 1960s and 1970s, she co-hosted several television shows with her husband Luis Vigoreaux before their marriage took a dark turn. Convicted of plotting his murder in 1986, Echevarría was sentenced to 254 years in prison but served only 13.5 years before being granted clemency by Governor Pedro Rosselló.
