Biography

Helen Maud Holt, professionally known as Mrs Beerbohm Tree and later Lady Tree, was a renowned English actress. She established a successful theatrical partnership with her husband, Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree, and was celebrated for her work in comedy, performing in revivals of classic plays and new works by Wilde. Following her husband's death in 1917, Lady Tree continued to act steadily for nearly two decades, making her last stage appearance in 1935.
